International Business and Management Studies

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) IBMS is a challenging and truly international programme, both in terms of its content and the students who take it. It prepares you for an international career in marketing, finance and management, including export management and research.

This unique programme is the result of a partnership between the three universities in Leeuwarden: Stenden university, NHL University and Van Hall Larenstein. The programme was put together based on the strengths of all three universities. In the first 2.5 years, you will learn aspects of marketing and sales, Management & Organisation, International Human Resource Management, export and logistics management, quality and project management, strategy and international business plans. In addition, there is a major focus on intercultural aspects and your personal development as a (future) professional. Working together in groups, we focus on your career development. Where are you now? What are your goals? And how will you achieve them? A personal coach will support you in that process.

If you choose to study IBMS, you can expect to become part of a young, dynamic international student community. The diploma Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business and Management Studies gives you direct access to all types of management jobs worldwide, as well as to one of our Master’s programmes.

Overarching themes
IBMS Top of Holland wants to educate responsible, entrepreneurial and authentic international business managers that are able to make a contribution to today’s business challenges anywhere in the world. That is why the three overarching themes of Responsible, Entrepreneurial and Authentic are addressed throughout the programme in the various modules.
