Preparatory Course

You will improve your English language skills and gain valuable experience in group work and presentation skills. You will acquire important knowledge and understanding in international communication.

One Semester of Learning Essential Skills:

The Preparatory Course includes business-related English classes and six weeks of special projects. During the course you will focus on essential skills, like writing reports and doing presentations. also study complementary subjects, such as information technology, cultural awareness and study skills. All subjects are taught in English, in order for you to become more familiar with the study environment at IBS.

English (18 hours per week)
In the English course, you will practice and develop your communication skills in English. You will build your confidence in both written and spoken English, increase your business vocabulary, review the essential grammar items, practice (business) report writing and give presentations. Training in the area of pronunciation will be given on an individual basis.

Information Technology and Information Gathering Techniques (2 hours per week)
You will learn how to gather relevant information from the internet and manage it in a structured way. You will also become familiar with various software programmes such as Word and PowerPoint.
