You close a deal with an American organisation and research the possibilities of doing business in Asia. That is just business as usual after earning the International Business Management bachelor’s degree. You can compete with the best in the financial services sector as well. You keep a close eye on international developments and are always one step ahead of the latest trends. You have contacts around the world and use your knowledge as the manager of a multinational, as a consultant or an independent entrepreneur.
The sector
The demand for highly educated managers with an international mindset is growing as a result of the ever-expanding global trade. The Netherlands is a true trade nation. It is in the top 10 in the world in terms of exporting goods and services (source: Statista). With professional knowledge and a good feeling for finance and e-business, you can also make it as an independent entrepreneur.
BBA in 3 or 4 years
The International Business Management degree (CROHO number 34144), educates you in three or four years to use the internationally acknowledged title Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). International Business Management is partly based on the International Business (IB) profile level of professional competence, supplemented with e-commerce. Also, you can earn your Associate degree for this programme in just 2 years.
Small classes
You attend theoretical lectures in groups of no more than circa 16 students, while practical lectures are given to groups of 10. The weighted average for the International Business Management programme at all Tio locations during the previous academic year was 12 students per group.

Diploma
Upon completion of the International Business Management programma of Hogeschool Tio you will receive the Bachelor degree in International Business Management (BBA). The business programme is partly based on the International Business (IB) profile level of professional competence, supplemented with e-commerce.

International Business Management is a comprehensive programme that prepares you for a career at an SME or a multinational organisation.
There are many roads open to you when you earn your International Business Management bachelor’s degree. What about working as a commercial adviser at ABN AMRO or a manager of marketing communication at the American Chamber of Commerce. You can also work as an account manager or a marketing manager.
Toelatingseisen
In order to be admitted to this bachelor’s programme, you need 3 documents:
- You need a high school diploma that is equivalent to a Dutch pre-university high school diploma.
- In addition, you need an English test, which proves your English proficiency is at (or exceeds) the level of CEFR: ≥ B2. Tio accepts one of the following three qualifications as proof of English proficiency: TOEFL: iBT ≥ 80 points (taken at an official examination centre), IELTS academic: ≥ 6.0 overall, or Cambridge exam: ≥ 160 points or a Cambridge First Certificate.
In the following cases, students are exempted from the test requirement: students with an IB diploma, American High School Diploma (if accredited in the US, please check with your school board), GCSE certificate for English First Language or English as a second language, or students from the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Malta, Singapore. - Valid passport (non-EU/EEA) or IC (EU).
Once you are able to provide the above 3 documents and after approval of Tio, you are all set!

Tuition fee per year: € 22.250,-
Enrollment fee (one-off): € 95,-
The tuition fee includes the cost of study materials, the study trip and projects.
