About the PDEng
PDEng positions are two-year, full-time positions in a wide variety of disciplines. As an employee of TU/e, you will receive a salary and an attractive benefits package. Upon completion of the program, you will be awarded the PDEng degree. As a SEB&C trainee you will learn to design energy efficient building components and/or building concepts aimed at the intelligent use of as less as possible energy.
The two doctorates side by side
A PDEng program is on par with a PhD program. The difference is their focus: a PhD is aimed to establish you as an independent researcher and a PDEng prepares you for a high-level position in industry. A PDEng program is a challenging, balanced combination of theory and practice. Besides following courses you will design an innovative industrial product or process in a large-scale, multidisciplinary setting.
