Using behavioural models and statistical techniques, economics seeks answers to macroeconomic and microeconomic issues such as poverty, social insecurity, inflation and traffic congestion.

As a Master's student, you will learn to conduct your own research, subjecting existing theories to critical tests. The programme offers four specializations: International Macroeconomic Economic Policy; Economic and Social Policy; Spatial, Transport and Environmental Economics; Development Economics.
Graduates are well-trained economists, with extensive knowledge about economic techniques and economic policy. Some graduates become consultants or start working as market analysts. Others go to work for multinationals. Finally, there are also graduates who become a PhD student or researcher at a university.
